Request NWP Images - Image Duplication Service

Digital images are offered one of two ways: optimized original scans or restored images. Optimized original scans are images provided exactly as they were scanned with all of the imperfections that may have existed on the original image. They are, however, adjusted in Adobe Photoshop for exposure. Restored images are worked on by the staff to remove dust, scratches, cracks, or tears, make density and color corrections to enhance aged images as well as precise burning and dodging for the proper exposure. The service time per scan is dependent on the quality of the original image and the raw scan. Digital images can be printed in-house depending on the staff time and number of images in the order.

Reproductions held by the National Woman's Party can be obtained in accordance to the procedures and restrictions specified on the Image Duplication Request page on Sewall-Belmont's website. It is strongly recommended that you read the Terms Governing the Reproduction and Use of the National Woman's Party Collection before ordering your reproductions.

Reproduction of Images

Researchers must complete the procedures outlined on the Image Duplication Request page on Sewall-Belmont's website before duplication orders can be processed. Not all images are available for reproduction because of copyright, access restrictions, and conservation considerations.

The Collection staff must approve each duplication request. Requests may be denied if, in the judgment of the staff, such copying will harm the original item(s), or is prohibited by donor arrangements or US copyright law.

All copies are provided for the researcher's personal use. Further duplication of copies is not permitted, nor may those copies be deposited in another institution.

In making copies available, the National Woman's Party (NWP) does not thereby grant permission to reproduce those copies or to quote extensively from them for publication. A publication fee may apply. For use restrictions and information on publishing images, please read the Terms Governing the Reproduction and Use of the National Woman's Party Collection.
